Call for Posts: March Issue of Project PLN

@thenerdyteacher and I are still accepting posts for the March issue of Project PLN.  For March, we would love to hear from Librarians/Media/Reading Specialists. These roles have grown and changed over the past few years and we would love to hear how they impact education today. If you are a school librarian/media/reading specialist or have a story you would like to share about literacy or Read Across America, please contact us at @ProjectPLN or ProjectPLN10@gmail.com to share your thoughts with the rest of the PLN.

  1. How much of a story are you looking for? I have some ideas/questions I could share. I’m a k-5 library media specialist. Let me know. Thanks!

  2. I am a K-3 lms for over 800 students outside of Pgh, PA. I always invite our high school National Honor Society students back to read aloud to our students. This year I connected our Read Across America theme to our Character Counts theme of honesty. The high school kids read books related to honesty and also recalled a personal situation when they remembered it was important for them to be honest. It was also Read My Shirt Day for all. I take pics of the high school kids with their favorite picture books and create an Animoto from them to post on our library wiki to promote their favorites.

  3. James, we are just looking for a short post. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, we want to give a glimpse of what is happening in our PLN. Thank you!
