In my last post I requested pictures of everyone’s classroom for the 2009-2010 school year. I’ll be honest, so far only three of you have participated. I know the beginning of the school year is busy so I am going to be patient and wait a few more days. If you want to submit your classroom picture, send it to me via Twitter @ktenkely. To get the ball rolling, here are pictures of my classroom this year:
“Oh the places we will go on the Internet super highway”

I love my lab!!
Okay, now it is your turn! Share your classroom pics with us 🙂
I just want to say how much I enjoy your site. I came back here to this post because I am looking for some things to put up on the blank walls of the computer lab. I was wondering what is on the list of internet safety (I have posters from students with Internet Safety tips and I thought your list might be a good addition). Also, I coordinate our March 2nd Read Across America and I was wondering where ARE the places you will go on the internet super highway? Thanks so much!
Hi Sonya,
On the Internet Safety bulletin board we have a list of things that are considered “private information” that should not be shared online without parents permission. Our list includes last name, phone numbers, passwords, the name of our school, family members names, a picture of themselves, and to never meet someone that they have met online in person. We also have the Netsmartz UYN rules http://www.netsmartzkids.org
On my Internet Super Highway I post the sites that we visit the most often in my class. I have http://tenkely.org which is set as our homepage on the classroom computers, http://www.think.com (we use for blogging), http://www.starfall.com (students in k-2 use this one often), www2.shidonni.com which we use to complete many projects, and http://www.kerpoof.com. Those are the sites that my students visit most often.
I hope that helps, I would love to see pictures of your classroom when you are finished!
